Rising star contributes to PiR Interims continued success
One of the leading and most respected providers of interim managers to the life science sector, PiR Interims, has much to smile about. Not only have they seen the market improve in the last few months but they have also been working on their growth and succession planning.
Key to this is the promotion of Sally Hope to Director of Interim Services. Their MD, Carolyn Douthwaite confirmed ‘Sally’s promotion is one of the greatest highlights of 2009 for the company and for our clients and candidates. Her passion, knowledge, commitment, tenacity and professionalism have been instrumental in the growth of the Interims Practice since our early days in 2005/06. Sally’s greater involvement in the leadership and direction of the business will strengthen and enhance our reputation and branding amongst the life science industry’.
So how does the future look to PiR Interims? Sally’s view is that ‘Typically when industry has experienced a downturn, a period of restructuring and tightening of belts on permanent headcount, the requirement for interims, contractors and temps tends to rise. This is generally the pattern during recession and, from current experience, we are seeing similar trends. There are gaps in organisations that require experts in order that strategic objectives are met. What any employer in the life science market can be assured of is that there are some exceptionally talented interim managers out there looking to deliver on specific projects, add value to an organisation and leave it in a stronger state than they found it’.
